Bahram Adrangi, Ph.D. is the W. E. Nelson Professor of Financial Economics in the School of Business Administration at the University of Portland. He received his MBA in 1975 and PhD in economics from the University of Oregon in 1982.  His research and teaching interests include financial economics, international economics, transportation economics, and applied econometrics.

Dr. Adrangi's scholarly work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Financial Review, Applied Financial Economics, Journal of Economics and Finance, and numerous other peer-reviewed publications. His research focuses on financial markets, macroeconomic policy, energy economics, market volatility, and applied quantitative methods, with an emphasis on issues of relevance to both academics and policymakers.

In addition to his academic work, Dr. Adrangi is a frequent contributor and commentator on economic and financial issues for radio and television stations throughout Oregon and Washington, where he provides expert analysis on developments in the U.S. and global economies.
